Ink wash painting is an accumulation of 5,000 years wisdom and a way to sense your infinite possibilities.

The depth of your inner emotions can cause difficulties, but ink wash painting can help you to find yourself.

No previous painting experience is required.

In this experience class, I’ll teach you the basics so you can take your new skill home to practice in your own country.

I’ll also include a short history of the subject matter and how to achieve this iconic effect yourself.

At the end you finish one painting work to bring back.

We’ll go over the rare style called “Rim(n)pa” that I specialize in.

SUMIE was uniquely developed in Japan after imported from China so you can learn both sides of cultures.

I opened this class here with the aim to overturn your image of this ancient art.
