7月の題材は、

「蓮にカエル」を

いたします。

蓮は、7月の花でもあります。

蓮といえば、「愛蓮説」から

『蓮は泥(でい)より出でて、泥に染まらず』が

有名です。

仏教では、極楽に咲く花であり、

仏様の愛とやさしい慈悲の象徴に

使われております。

泥も滋養があり、必要があります。

蓮が咲くなら、泥も極楽のものです。

苦を苦にしないこころが

清らかさの源と言えるでしょう。

遊ぶカエルに思いをたくして、

たのしく描いてみましょう。

On July, we will learn how to paint

"Lotus and Frogs".

Lotus flower represents flowers in July, it says.

The old proverb says that

"Lotus comes from the mud and does not stain it".

However, in Buddhism, lotus flower symbolizes

Buddha's gentleness and mercy

as flower which blooms in the heaven.

The mud also has nutrition and necessity.

If you see the lotus in the heaven, the mud is also there.

Not being judgmental leads us to

peaceful mind.

With saying it with frogs which playing

around lotus flowers,

we'll learn how to paint lotus and frogs in

traditional Japanese painting style.
